Package: dpkg
Version: 1.13.24
Severity: wishlist

I still find dpkg useful and would like to humbly
suggest adding an option like --listfiles, but
which also lists files in

    /var/lib/dpkg/info/<package>.*

For example, the new option would also list files
like

    /var/lib/dpkg/info/kdm.postinst

The option could be called something like
"--listallfiles".

Thanks,
Kingsley

dpkg recommends no packages.

They are not very difficult to find (/var/lib/dpkg/info/<pkg>.*). The logic
doesn't vary from package to package, so I don't see the need for such an
option. And if you do "dpkg -L dpkg" you directly have an idea of
directories used by dpkg.

Hence closing this wishlist.
