$ dpkg-scansources -e dists/aranym/unstable/override.extra dists/aranym/unstable Can't locate object method "load_extra_override" via package "dists/aranym/unstable/override.extra" (perhaps you forgot to load "dists/aranym/unstable/override.extra"?) at /usr/bin/dpkg-scansources line 354. The override.extra files contains the "Build-Essential: yes" ones from the ftpmasters’ extra overrides file. I also pass it to… $ dpkg-scanpackages -a m68k -e dists/aranym/unstable/override.extra dists/aranym/unstable | wc dpkg-scanpackages: info: Wrote 55 entries to output Packages file. 1362 6213 59608 … and that works. The extra header line is also added. The dpkg-scansources manual page says -e “should” work.
