I meant I'd be willing to go through and make a patch that makes the
corresponding changes to translations (and wait for translators' okay,
I suppose) to avoid making pointless work for translators.  Sorry for
the lack of clarity.

If that's the final take, I don't mind.  I personally don't care at
all about "%s." but do think it would be nice to get rid of
inconsistency in style between different error messages, hence the
patch.
