Hi, I think the "DpkgConffileHandling" of the wiki would also be great as it currently don't even mention that debian/package.maintscript file. And perhaps ask Raphaël Hertzog to update its blog to integrate that (as the link to its blog is given in the wiki and its page is the 1st google page for renaming and removing conf files).
