Package: dpkg
Version: 1.4.0.30
Severity: normal

dpkg (or is it atp?) reacts strangely after an unsuccessful installation of
perl and xsiag. I go to Install, and I get this. I suspect it is not
normal. In particular, the "internal error" message makes me send this
report.

Some errors occurred while unpacking. I'm going to configure the
packages that were installed. This may result in duplicate errors
or errors caused by missing dependencies. This is OK, only the errors
above this message are important. Please fix them and run [I]nstall again
