I'm not sure if this is where apt related q's go... anyways, I'm within a firewall and have to go through a proxy to talk to the outside world. I know there is a way to handle proxies (or I think there is). I basically use a http_proxy="" enviroment globally to take care of this.
The issue/question I have is this...Our proxies run a caching service...and I have noticed that Package lists have a habbit of getting cached (especially when I'm updating them constantly while doing development). Is there a way to work this into the apt-get code so that it can turn off caching. (I know there is a way to do this with web clients and whatnot) Thanks, Ivan =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ivan E. Moore II Rev.
