Subject: better handling of config files
Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: dpkg
Version: 1.4.0.19
Severity: wishlist

dpkg should keep a checksum of installet config files. When
installing a package, it should remind the user that an installed
config file is different from the original one. Moreover, the default
of whether to overwrite or not should depend on this.
