Pff, why submit yet another bug ? This bug is THE bug that we try to resolve the last week of slink freeze. It's the bug that make it segfault in dcgettext call. It's already submitted numerous time. :-( This bug has nothing to do with the fact that you mount /floppy, the problem comes from the fact that dpkg have to print the translation of "dpkg: unable to delete old file..." and for a reason not known core dump in it. BTW, could you try to reproduce this bug on a glibc2.1 based system ? Because my problems width dpkg and the locale disappeared since I use glibc2.1 ...
