Package: dpkg Version: 1.4.1.6 Severity: important Hi,
during the last apt-get run, I got the following error message (which is reproducable by dpkg --pending --configure -D2000 - note that -D2000 doesn't show any debug output): dpkg: ../../../main/packages.c:191: process_queue: Assertion `dependtry <= 4' failed. Aborted What do you need to get more information? The debug flags don't give anything usable. Should I send the status and/or available file (maintonly, I guess ;-) And what should I do to workaround the problem? Right now dpkg doesn't want to work :( Thanks, Ulf -- System Information Debian Release: potato Kernel Version: Linux pkfp20 2.2.11 #1 Fri Aug 13 16:28:33 CEST 1999 i586 unknown Versions of the packages dpkg depends on: ii libc6 2.1.2-0pre7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and timezone ii libncurses4 4.2-3.2 Shared libraries for terminal handling ii libstdc++2.9-gl 2.91.66-2 The GNU stdc++ library (EGCS version)
