Installation CD bootet OK. Partitioned the HD with /home on a separate partition Installed all until grub Grub OK The machine started X, KDM and i logged in :) Installation a success. Two minor issue. The popularity contest questions was asked twice (at a early stage in the installation, and at a later stage). Brown background on the boot - log.
