It seem I was a bit hasty. The testing was incomplete, and there is still
something
wrong with the current setup. the ldapwhoami command work, but lwat login
do not. When logging into lwat, the following error show up in
/var/log/apache/error.log:

I have no idea what is wrong. But if I reinsert the 'tls_reqcert never' line,
it no
longer crashes. Could there be something wrong with the certificate? A search
for the assert on google did not provide me with any answers, but it is obvoius
that
the assert is not an unknown one.
