Hi there, please allow me to keep you up to date with my findings: I just managed to install LibreOffice 4.0.2 from their deb packages, containing cdrlib, and impressingly, all items of some Corel Draw file (2 pages Geography exam including text & graphics) are imported without any flaw into LibreOffice Draw.
