Most probably the file /etc/default/locale contained a non supported LANG value (due to manually editing it?). The file should have been OK after installation of the combi server. While it is possible to do it on your own, 'dpkg-reconfigure locales' is the safe way to deal with locales once messed up. Wolfgang
