Hello,

I tried to install Debian Edu 13.1 on a standard VM in Proxmox (KVM, not LXC).
The installation stops with the following error from icinga2-ido-mysql:

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
  '/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

At this point in the installer, the database is not running and the socket does
not exist.
As the error happens during the Debian Edu Installer stage, there is no way to
install or start the database manually beforehand.

If I press "Retry" in the installer after this error, I get prompted to create
the database.
Even if I create it, the next step asks whether to use a UNIX or TCP/IP socket
for the connection.
No matter which option is chosen, the installer ends up in a loop and cannot
proceed.

The same problem also occurs when installing Debian Edu 13.1 in a VirtualBox
VM.
When I use Debian Edu 12.7, however, the installation completes successfully in
both Proxmox and VirtualBox.
So it looks like this is a regression introduced in 13.1 (possibly related to a
newer icinga2/dbconfig-common timing issue).

Environment:
- Proxmox VE: 8.4.9
- VirtualBox: 7.1.6
- Standard VMs (default settings, not containers)
- Debian Edu ISO: 13.1 (current release)

Questions:
1. Is this a known problem with the 13.1 release?
2. Is there a recommended workaround (e.g. avoiding icinga2 DB configuration
during installation and re-running later)?

Thanks for your work on Debian Edu!

Best regards,
Sven
