It's interesting that the test passes during build time but fails during
autopkgtest. Unfortunately, I can only reproduce the failure when
running the test manually, and it looks like setting `:test' to
`#'equal' gives the intended behavior. 

In any case, the tests are fragile. I'm preparing a fix to avoid this
kind of inconsistency.
