It's probably necessary for efficency of the development process. You
need to be able to test your build results with  aslittle  effort  as
possible  -  which  means  you  will probably have a full glibc based
environment with root filesystem mounted over NFS and still  want  to
be  able  to  test  one  or  another  of  your  uclibc  based  target
application - maybe a chrooted subtree will work.
