You have a throw-away line that I would like to understand better. You state, "Only armel will work on Pi with Debian or Emdebian toolchains or packaging but at that point, you lose what few advantages remain of using the Pi."
I would be interested in what you mean by the few remaining advantages for using the RPi would be.
