During the past days, I have been talking to a lot of people about the matter and I have heard acceptance and support as well as new points of view that extended mine. So I know my first email to the LinuxTag mailinglist was kinda emotional and then I had not yet heard the points of all those other people. You might call my considerations then FUD because I Feared, Microsoft could spread FUD, I'm still Uncertain about what their point in attending LinuxTag is and I Doubt they can be good to the LinuxTag as a community event. But seriously: spreading FUD is definitely not my intention although some of my points may have sounded like.. That is mostly due to the fact that I still think Microsoft is one big company I do not want to see at LinuxTag. Because to me LinuxTag is a community event, a place to meet people and to have discussions with people that have a community point of view like me. I personally could not care less about what Microsoft thinks about Linux, OpenSource or Free Software. But having talked to someone yesterday, I now fear there might be some people from the community (or maybe thinking they were part of the community and now had to fight MS because of evangelism) starting arguments and fights with those guys at the Microsoft-booth and making the community look bad again. And that would not happen if they were not there. Correct me if you think I'm wrong. Maybe most importantly is to show people our work and show them how good it is. Like all the years before and I don't doubt we will. Like Pierre said.
