A couple of things to discuss. 1. It has been a long time since we saw a decent list of packeges for the debian firewall solution. Anybody feel like posting the last one again so we have something to talk about? (Hollenberg ? Where are u :)
2. Should we aim the discussion towards potato, and the new kernels with IPchains? I certainly think so. 3. Maybe we should write some faq for this list. Like easy hardware recomendations, the package list, and needed disk space for the notorious /var/spool partiotion. Il gladly coordinate the thing.. with some help offcourse. 4. The Debian firewall homepage havent been touched for a while.. whats happening? For those without the url -> http://www.weikert.de/debwall/ 5. How will we handle things like; read only boot, minimizing root usage, no modules Access control, packet filtering, adress translation, logging and notification? Thats about it for now.
