Hello

I am setting up a kernel 2.4 machine as a router/fw. I have used a
2.0 kernel before and then I added proxy arp statment by hand.

That dont seem to work i 2.4, on the other hand it is suposed to
work automagicly??? From arp(7): Linux will automaticly add an
non-permanent proxy arp entry when it recives a request for a
address it forwards to and proxy arp is enabled on the resiving
interface.

What exactly do "proxy arp is enabled on..." mean. Howe to check,
how to enable?

Must somthing be opened in the fw (iptables) for arp to work?

TIA /Lars
