Try Smoothwall. It runs on modest hardware and fulfills most, if not all your requirements. ============================================ Charles Kidson System Administrator IT Department General Pants Group Phone 02 9290 0813 Mobile 0428 61 77 66 Fax 02 9299 6485 email [EMAIL PROTECTED] ============================================ - -----Original Message----- From: Alex Polite [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, February 05, 2003 8:15 AM To: [email protected] Subject: open source watchguard I once set up a "hardware" firewall for some people. It's called watchguard and it's basically a linux box the size of a vcr. You configured it through a MS application running on an other box. What I liked about this was that it integrated a lot of features. To get the same functionality on a open source box I need to run iptables, portsentry, shaper, some VPN app and a ton of other stuff. Or is there some open source app like this on the horizon? alex - -- Alex Polite http://plusseven.com/gpg - -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
