Thank you all for the help!
Sudo will do it just fine! All I had to do was to use the visudo command in
order to edit the /etc/sudoers file, adding the following line:
myuser ALL=/sbin/iptables
With this, when, as that user, I call
[EMAIL PROTECTED] etc]$ sudo /sbin/iptables -L
I get the expected output.
I had heard of sudo before, but had no idea on what it did.
