squid can't (of course) look into the HTTPS connection, therefore it cant transparently proxy it. You could configure the proxy with it's own certificate to sign proxied requests, this is done in some high-encryption or key-escrow solutions, but AFAIK not by default supported by squid neighter very useful in the general case. You need to use socks lib for application-transaprent proxy or simply configure an HTTP/S proxy.
