A first shot at gcc-3.1 can be found at
http://ftp-master.debian.org/~doko/gcc, based on the latest gcc-3.0
packaging.

Feedback wanted on:

- sparc: do we really need this? maybe Ben wants to have a look after
yesterday ;-) It's annoying to try this without being able to
  install anything.

- arm: missing(?) arm-patches

- m68k: the branch doesn't bootstrap. Roman wanted to look at it,
  but I got no feedback.

- Inclusion in woody. Nothing of gcc-3.0 / -3.1 is in main (except
hppa), but libgcc1, libffi2 and libffi2-dev are replaced by newer
versions. Benefit would be a libgcc1, which can handle newer gcc's.

Would the new gcc help some architectures for compiling packages?

Known issues:

- empty cpp and gcc man pages (reported upstream).

- the libstdc++-dev and libgcj-dev packages conflict to their 3.0
  counterparts.
