Why pass the buck here? It's not difficult to ignore that failure. In a
technical sense, apt-localepurge is arguably at fault here; but
apt-localepurge does a job that people want done, and no one else has
proposed, much written, a simple alternative to it. At the very least,
woody shouldn't release with this problem; since it's intractable to fix
in apt-localepurge, and trivial here, why not fix it here?
