It is also the case when gcc is called on an object file. collect2: ld terminated with signal 11 [Segmentation fault] error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1 ld, however seems to work perfectly, when used on objects compiled with gcc. I had not this error 5 days ago. I think it has appeared with an apt-get upgrade i made a few days ago. Hope that will help...
