I was building blas 1.1-10 from source on i386 with the
following packages installed:

The error also occurs with g77 3.2-0pre3, but not with 2.95.4-8,
so I suspect it is a g77 bug.  My attempts to locate the error in
the assembly output failed as I am not familiar with Fortran's
calling conventions.
