Package: gcc-2.95 Version: 1:2.95.4-22 Severity: normal Hi,
gcc-2.95 -O2 test.c gives the following output /usr/lib/crt1.o(.text+0xc): In function `_start': .../sysdeps/i386/elf/start.S:92: undefined reference to `__libc_csu_fini' /usr/lib/crt1.o(.text+0x11):../sysdeps/i386/elf/start.S:93: undefined reference to `__libc_csu_init' It seems unrelated to the actual contents of test.c. Building with gcc-3.2 or gcc-3.3 works. /usr/lib/crt* are probably versions for later gcc? -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8242 Nov 5 20:08 /usr/lib/crt1.o -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2264 Nov 5 20:08 /usr/lib/crti.o -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1836 Nov 5 20:08 /usr/lib/crtn.o -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.24 Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE Versions of packages gcc-2.95 depends on: ii binutils 2.14.90.0.6-5 The GNU assembler, linker and bina ii cpp-2.95 1:2.95.4-22 The GNU C preprocessor ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- no debconf information
