Hi,

I am trying to have both g77-3.2 and g77-3.3 on my debian testing system.
This works for gcc and g++, but not for g77:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# apt-get -s install g77-3.2
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
  cpp-3.2 gcc-3.2 gcc-3.2-base
Suggested packages:
  g77-3.2-doc gcc-3.2-doc
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  atlas2-base-dev g77 g77-3.3 libcern1-dev libg2c0-dev libmathlib1-dev
  libpaw1 paw paw-common

In order to migrate some code from g77-3.2 to g77-3.3 it would be nice to
have both compiler versions on the system. Is there a deep reason why
this is "officially" impossible?

Cheers, Stefan
