It is also preventing me from compiling 2.6 properly. read this: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220732 That pretty much explains everything we found, and how we found it Perhaps using the gcc 2.96 that rh 7.2 is using on alpha, or adding the proper patch to gcc and compiling it with a non-broken compiler would be a good fix? However it is done, this package really needs to be fixed. As it sits it makes stable suck like a small tornado on Alpha. I'm using debian 3.0 stable on Alpha with 2.4.19, and the stock glibc. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 222357-done) by bugs.debian.org; 20 Jul 2005 09:24:35 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jul 20 02:24:35 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from mail.cs.tu-berlin.de [130.149.17.13] (root) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1DvAod-0005LG-00; Wed, 20 Jul 2005 02:24:35 -0700 Received: from mailhost.cs.tu-berlin.de ([EMAIL PROTECTED] [130.149.17.13]) by mail.cs.tu-berlin.de (8.9.3p2/8.9.3) with ESMTP id LAA10174 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Wed, 20 Jul 2005 11:24:33 +0200 (MEST) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mailhost.cs.tu-berlin.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id B69ABF211 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Wed, 20 Jul 2005 11:24:32 +0200 (MEST) Received: from mailhost.cs.tu-berlin.de ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (bueno [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10224) with ESMTP id 22406-49 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Wed, 20 Jul 2005 11:24:32 +0200 (MEST) 14078 Received: from bolero.cs.tu-berlin.de (bolero.cs.tu-berlin.de [130.149.19.1]) by mailhost.cs.tu-berlin.de (Postfix) with ESMTP for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Wed, 20 Jul 2005 11:24:32 +0200 (MEST) Received: (from [EMAIL PROTECTED]) by bolero.cs.tu-berlin.de (8.12.10+Sun/8.12.8/Submit) id j6K9OWQO024780; Wed, 20 Jul 2005 11:24:32 +0200 (MEST) From: Matthias Klose <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2005 11:24:32 +0200 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [fixed in 3.2] gcc bug pr9164 present in stable/Alpha X-Mailer: VM 7.17 under 21.4 (patch 17) "Jumbo Shrimp" XEmacs Lucid X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at cs.tu-berlin.de Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-8.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_PACKAGE autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 Package: gcc Version: 4:3.3 closing this report, seen only in oldstable/woody, fixed in current stable. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
