Package: java-gcj-compat Version: 1.0.44-1 Severity: normal
Hi, here is the problem: $ symlinks -r /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.0-1.4.2.0/ dangling: /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-gcj-4.0-1.4.2.0/bin/jar -> ../../../../bin/fastjar-4.0 I installed fastjar 4.1 from experimental and therefore my system has fastjar-4.1, not fastjar-4.0. Why not make the link point to fastjar (without version number) ? This would make java-gcj-compat robust to fastjar version changes. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (100, 'unstable'), (99, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.14-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages java-gcj-compat depends on: ii fastjar 1:4.1-0exp0 Jar creation utility ii gij-4.0 4.0.2-5j2 The GNU Java bytecode interpreter ii libgcj6-common 4.0.2-5j2 Java runtime library for use with ii libjessie-java 1.0.1-1 free implementation of the Java Se Versions of packages java-gcj-compat recommends: pn libgcj6-src <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
