Many m68k ICEs are fixed by GCC 4.1. I intend to switch over quickstep (the m68k experimental buildd) over to GCC 4.1 soon, so that we could have a look at whether this fixes it. To Andreas (GCC port maintainer) and m68k-build: Stephen Marenka and I both feel that using GCC4.1 in unstable would be an improvement for m68k, as it fixes a lot of GCC ICEs (though we haven't tested much of the resulting code at runtime, which is one of the main reasons for the above suggestion on quickstep). Any objections/opinions? > I think compilers are critical for the glibc, so we will have to > coordinate the changes. They are critical for a lot of things, I'd say :-) (I'll add that I'm happy input is requested from porters this time around; it wasn't always like that) -- Fun will now commence -- Seven Of Nine, "Ashes to Ashes", stardate 53679.4 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
