Package: gcj-4.2 Version: 4.2.2-3 Severity: important
Since gcc 4.2.0, gcj incorporated native support for linking to a static libgcj (via the -static-libgcj option, as explained in http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/Statically%20linking%20libgcj ). The thing is that the static libgcj is nowhere in debian. That was a sound decision to 4.1, where this sort of static linking was an almost undocumented feature, but on 4.2 that's standard. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-k7 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gcj-4.2 depends on: ii gcc-4.2 4.2.2-3 The GNU C compiler ii gcj-4.2-base 4.2.2-3 The GNU Compiler Collection (gcj b ii gij-4.2 4.2.2-3 The GNU Java bytecode interpreter ii java-common 0.26 Base of all Java packages ii libc6 2.6.1-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libc6-dev 2.6.1-6 GNU C Library: Development Librari ii libecj-java 3.3.0+0728-5 Eclipse Java compiler (library) ii libgcc1 1:4.2.2-3 GCC support library ii libgcj-bc 4.2.1-6 Link time only library for use wit ii libgcj8-1 4.2.2-3 Java runtime library for use with ii libgcj8-dev 4.2.2-3 Java development headers and stati ii libgcj8-jar 4.2.2-3 Java runtime library for use with ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-7 compression library - runtime Versions of packages gcj-4.2 recommends: ii fastjar 2:0.95-1 Jar creation utility pn libecj-java-gcj <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
