It appears this is a bit more complicated than I thought. DragonEgg uses gengtype to generate a header, but the header itself is needed during this generation! So, a bootstrap version is provided in their SVN. Yes, I do find this confusing. I think that for now it's fine to use the pregenerated version. It's not clear to me that auto-generating a new one during build would have any benefit. If you don't mind, please leave this bug open in spite of that.
