I am working with a team of developers building an embedded application
using Broadcom Sibyte processors and compiling binaries to the
mipsel-linux-gnu format with cross-compilers in an i686-linux-gnu
environment. We are porting our source from OpenBSD to Debian Linux. We
need to modify some of the glibc sources and build glibc.

I used apt-get source glibc to download the source package and have the
diffs applied and now I am interested in then next steps to have the
patches applied and the source cross compiled for the mipsel
architecture.

What were the steps and tools that were used to compile and build the
glibc packages for the mipsel arch? I am primarily interested in how the
Debian patches were applied, the source code compiled, and the libraries
built.

Is there a web page where the build steps are documented?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
