I don't think such a patch, involving the kernel, a userland daemon and changes into glibc, should be integrated into Debian if it has not been integrated upstream. I believe such things should be standardized a minimum, so that all distributions share the same implementation. Please submit this patch upstream (http://sources.redhat.com/bugzilla/) and when it has been merged, we will backport changes from CVS. -- .''`.
