Hi, I've received the following report from another user who seems to have discovered this issue. I can confirm that with libc6 2.7-13 this does seem to be more difficult to reproduce. Creating many threads in a tight loop can still hit it within a second or two, but I also can only reproduce that if the test code is linked with -static.
So this now seems to be almost fixed, but not quite in every path ...
