Right -- running this from a Salsa pipeline makes that easy, we can setup a monthly scheduled pipeline. It is a small shell script that take <10 minutes to run. I ran it again to generate a list sorted by oldest *.orig.tar.* instead of oldest *.dsc, and there are some truly ancient unused packages in our archive. See top of the list below. I'm not sure which is better to sort for: last upload (*.dsc) or last upstream (*.orig.tar.*) file. Let's look at the first package: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-godebiancontrol-dev That upstream was published in 2014 with last upload in 2025. Last upstream commit was 8 years ago. The package was probably used as a build dependency for something in Debian many years ago, but today I doubt this package serves any purpose in the archive and it consumes precious QA time to keep it alive. If I had filtered out the last 3 years worth of uploads, I wouldn't have noticed this package.
