All, Several unused golang-*-dev packages have been removed, I count to around 56 RM packages. I noticed 5 packages that I felt could be kept in unstable for some more time, and instead of RM bugs I filed 'serious' bugs that eventually will trigger autoremoval, although 1 of those packages has now been RM'd anyway after upstream feedback.
I took the time to pretty print the output, and this will be re-generated at least once per week: https://go-team.pages.debian.net/infra/golang-qa-find-zombies/ I worry that the time for review between filing RM bugs and ftp-master removal is too short. Thus, my inclination is now to file 'Severity: serious' bugs on a larger number of packages (say top 100 oldest packages?). I won't cc debian-go anymore, it feels like spamming. This allow the testing autoremoval kick in after one week, unless someone comments in the bug report, which pauses the autoremoval. That will hopefully stop people from doing QA uploads of these packages. I noticed wasted QA efforts in the ~50 packages RM'd packages: we should have RM'd them long time ago instead of updating ~10 year old code. This approach takes care of the most important aspect: don't ship these zombies in forky. Then after a longer period of time (a month?) we can re-assign the most obvious zombies for ftp-master RM. /Simon
