Hi, I can help with the unstable side of docker.io: the move to Docker 29. Ivo works on the stable updates, so the two efforts do not overlap.
docker.io 29.8.1 builds with dh-go in my fork: https://salsa.debian.org/mendezr/docker/-/tree/wip/moby-v29 The build passes 6869 tests with no failures, and autopkgtest passes. It adds -dev packages for the new Go modules moby/moby/api, moby/moby/client and moby/moby/v2, and for docker/cli. Before the upload, 19 libraries need new versions and 15 new packages must go through NEW. This page lists each one and its state: https://salsa.debian.org/mendezr/docker/-/wikis/Docker29Transition None of this is in the team repository. If you want it, I will open the merge requests one at a time, in the order you choose. I can also target experimental first. podman 6.1.1 in experimental reverts the moby/moby and runtime-spec 1.3.0 changes in two patches. These patches can go when this work lands. Best, Juan
