Possably mension that dselect with the aptmetode will work for OCTOBER-gnome if You update source.list and then do a update in dselect. I gues dselect still is what most users use (me included for 90% of the cases). BTW, I just 'descovered' that gnome-apt can't install, but checking the bugtracking system the bug has been reporter for over 50 days. Is gnome-apt dead?
