Well, i'd love to see galeon in woody, as it's the best browser i know. But it's having _serious_ issues with upgrades, i don't know yet how to fix. At this point, galeon is _very_ difficult to use if you upgrade or install gconf2 subsequently. If it works with gconf2 at all right now; the package in unstable apparently does NOT. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71183 So upstream considers this as "critical".
Or let me put it this way: Galeon is ready for woody, but not for testing or stable... :-( Upstream CVS galeon looks like gconf2-only; at least the galeon-config-tool.in file is. Maybe we should make galeon depend on gconf2? BTW: What do you think of galeon 1.1 ? I have galeon 1.1.3 packages on http://people.debian.org/~erich/ sorry, forgot to upload the source as well apparently... But it works really fine for me, so i'd like to update galeon to 1.1.3 soon; at least if i see any solution to the gconf2 issue... Upstream is settling down to release 1.2 soon, I heard. So maybe we can get 1.2 into woody, too. And do NOT forget: Galeon depends on Mozilla, and mozilla is having quite a lot of bugs, too. Mostly upstream that is. Greetings, Erich
