Hi all, there is a problem in testing right now : there is no gnome-terminal available. This is not very dangerous in itself, except if you (as me) have also unstable lines in sources.list (with defaults to testing) : apt will then silently install gnome-terminal and its dependencies from unstable. Which is gnome2's terminal !!!
Testing users can then find themselves with no configuration for gnome-terminal, and gnome2 libraries are on the system (opening the door to silent *upgrades* to other gnome2 packages) This has already bitten users (and not only unstable users), as http://bugs.debian.org/153682 can attest. Cheers, -- Rmi `Debian: giving you the power to shoot yourself in each toe individually.' -- with kudos to Greg Lehey
