This will never be solved then, unless someone (me maybe, but i know nothing about xml, have no time, and cannot do a good job of it) decide to implement the correct catalog. I think it is the responsability to all the people who care for gnome 2 (the subscribers of this list) to solve this problem, as it is affecting gnome, and unless it is solved, gnome2 will _not_ be releasable, even if the maintainers simply close all the bugs filled against them.
