I have 2 Sarge machine that are experiencing the Gnome Splash screen hanging at Nautilus after the 2.8 upgrade. If you click on the splash screen it goes away and everything works well. I have removed all of my .config files thinking something might be conflicting but that didn't change anything. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
