Hi, The version of shared-mime-info that is in Debian contains the following reasonably serious bugs:
1) MS Word files have the wrong MIME type, this means that some versions of Outlook will not accept word attachments from Evolution (#264313) 2) The MIME type for XSL files is wrong which means that Firefox (and probably other browsers) won't process local XSL files (#282986). 3) A portability bug which meant that the masks used for file magic would fail on big endian machines (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1507) 4) No support for Open Document files as used by OpenOffice 2.0 (and others) (#264313) A new upstream version 0.16 has been released (and is included in Ubuntu) which fixes all these bugs expect for (2). (2) can be resolved with a simple patch. Would it be possible to get this into Debian before Sarge releases? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
