I use Debian for five years now. It first kicked WinXP from my Notebook, an IBM R50e, then it slowly replaced Windows on my desktop system. Nowadays I use mainly use Debian to get my everday work done.
You did - and currently are doing - a great job. Keep it that way, for there is no alternative to Debian!
