Ah, thanks for linking that - I was unsure where I should be looking for the documentation on why it was removed > Are you really interested in learning Debian packaging, I'm pretty familiar with most debian packaging tasks (I've maintained a few forks for our in-house use over the years), so at least the build package mechanics of "learning debian packaging" are already familiar to me. I guess I'm more interested in learning about the processes of *how* packages are maintained/managed through their lifecycle within the debian project.
