Hello, I would use:
darcs get http://www.n-heptane.com/nhlab/repos/cabalDebianTemplate/ as a starting point. Once you are familiar with the framework, you should be able to debianize a package in a minute or two since you do not have to put good Descriptions in debian/control. I think writing the Descriptions is the longest step. j. ps. It should be possible to automate the template instantiation, making it even faster, but this is not done yet.
