Sorry - Bad advice. Kyle McMartin just reminded me that none of
the 2.6.13 kernels will boot because of issues with CONFIG_PDC_STABLE=y.
I'll see if someone (me?) can fix this issue or disable the option
in the next -pa2 test kernel.
I've been running self-built kernels with CONFIG_PDC_STABLE=n.
I'm not game to advise somehow how to build their own kernels right now.
I've posted a tarball of my 32- and 64-bit 2.6.13-rc3-pa1 kernel on:
ftp://gsyprf10.external.hp.com/kernels/a500/2.6.13-rc3-pa1-64SMP.tgz
ftp://gsyprf10.external.hp.com/kernels/c3000/2.6.13-rc3-pa1-32UP.tgz
These will NOT work on c240 or other CCIO/GSC/Dino machines.
Folks with older workstations will have to wait until the
bug in hwpath_to_device() is fixed (used by CONFIG_PDC_STABLE=y)
or build their own kernels with CONFIG_PDC_STABLE=n.
